First Egg

I've waited for years before getting chickens. It always seemed like too much responsibility. now i see they just need food, water, a bed and a load of dirt to scratch around in all day- i realise its just like having children. I thought it would be ages before they started to repay my hospitality but here we are three hours in and they have rewarded us with their first egg. Delicious on some homemade walnut bread.
