Not Long Now

Most people wont notice a thing. Given when it happens they will be absorbed in pre-christmas hysteria securing those last minute presents just in case. Or anxiously waiting for the Amazon delivery or battling for a trolley at the supermarket or recoving from the hangover and shame of the office party. The animals know. And the plants. Whilst the John Lewis ads radiate from the screens and the X factor number one rings in our ears, the sun quietly slips across the line from the southern hemisphere to the north. December the 21st is the winter Solstice. From that date, the days will slowly start to get longer. It wont feel like it as winter has yet to bite us hard. But the sap will now start to slowly rise and growing once again is on the agenda. I cant wait.
